I trust this message finds you well. My name is Caroline, a twenty-six-year-old Zimbabwean with a heartfelt story I am eager to share with you. Raised by Mr. and Mrs. Chitekwe at Tanya Children’s Home since the tender age of four, following the death of my parents, my journey has been shaped by both challenges and triumphs.

In 2016, I successfully completed my Ordinary Level Examinations with flying colors, setting the stage for my aspirations in the field of nursing. Despite encountering setbacks in securing a place in nursing schools within Zimbabwe, I remained resilient in pursuing my passion for healthcare.

It is with immense gratitude and joy that I share the news of my dream coming true, thanks to the Shingai Scholarship bestowed upon me by Sahara On the Bay. This scholarship has become the beacon guiding me through my three-year nurse training at Lusaka Health Institute School of Nursing in Zambia, a journey that commenced in July 2023 and is set to culminate in July 2026.

Nursing, for me, is not just a profession but a profound calling. I have a deep empathy for people and find immense fulfillment in assisting them during their most challenging times. Your support has not only enabled me to pursue my education but has also fueled my determination to contribute to the well-being of others.

As I navigate through my training, I am committed to acquiring the skills and knowledge necessary to prevent and cure diseases, ultimately contributing to the promotion of good health within communities. Your belief in my potential has been a driving force, and I am honored to have you as a vital part of my journey.

Once again, thank you for being a pillar of support and making a lasting impact on my life. I am truly grateful for your generosity and the opportunity to pursue my passion for nursing.

Warm regards,

Caroline
